So even in situations where a deck is not available, DeckLink Pro allows you to monitor real time effects such as color correction at a very low cost. When a deck is available, simply plug it in, and capture all your video clips, and master out finished work in the most incredible uncompressed 10 bit video.

For audio purists, DeckLink Pro includes an incredible 8 channels of SPDIF digital audio output for 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound monitoring. This is a first for the industry, and no other uncompressed video card features this level of audio support. 8 channels of audio is perfect if you want to dub out audio to multi channel audio recorders such as the audio industry standard DA88 tape deck. 8 channel audio is also available via SDI embedded audio.

Featuring industry standard SDI and analog video monitoring, combined with the amazing 8 channels of audio, DeckLink Pro is a great choice when building a home based post production facility where you hire in decks when required. DeckLink Pro is just perfect when connecting to high end SDI based systems in the largest post facilities.

DeckLink Pro is low cost, so can even be used for simple video monitoring, when the deck is not available, or your working with non SDI based FireWire DV decks.

Connecting to a broadcast deck is simple and Blackmagic DeckLink Pro has been specifically designed to make it simple via dedicated SDI video and serial control connections. Compatible decks include Sony Digital Betacam™, D1™, Panasonic DVC Pro 25™, DVC Pro 50™, D5, Sony™ J series.

By using industry standard SDI connections, Blackmagic DeckLink Pro contains video, and all audio channels down the single BNC type video cable. DeckLink Pro also eliminates break out box clutter with our exclusive long 7 ft or 2 meter direct-connect break out cable to plug directly into your deck and monitoring. You don't even need to purchase any cables, and if you want to disconnect your system, you only need to unplug a single cable.
